About Tenzing
Born and raised in the remote and culturally rich Tsum Valley, Tenzing Dorjee grew up surrounded by mountains, traditional villages, and Himalayan trails. His early life in this hidden valley helped him develop deep local knowledge, strong mountain instincts, and a natural passion for guiding travelers in the high-altitude regions of Nepal.
With more than 14 years of experience, Tenzing has become a trusted guide known for his warm nature, professionalism, and deep understanding of mountain culture. His expertise across the Manaslu, Everest, and Tsum Valley routes allows trekkers to experience these regions with confidence and comfort. Tenzing is especially valued for his ability to share local stories, traditions, and insights, making each journey meaningful and culturally enriching.

Manaslu circuit 2022 october
One of the most gorgeous views from day 1. Incredible senes, tireless of waterfalls, excitement from the land slides and high altitude! We’ve got a great support by Touch the Himalayas Trek team! If you wanna go trekking in Nepal, definitely go to them! This was the second organized trip by them in five year! I hope i can come back to Nepal as soon as possible and go trekking with them again!

Manaslu Guides - Awesome local guides that and porters
We mostly loved the generosity, effort and professionalism that was given by our Guide (Tenzing) & porter (Passang) . They were always providing us with extra care compared to other tour groups and we truly loved hearing them share their stories, traditions and wisdoms while we were on our trek. Especially in the face of tricky trails we always felt like risks were managed incredibly well by our guide & porter. We would recommend Manaslu Guides to all our family and friends and hope to be back with them in the years to come, exploring new trails with the same team we were so lucky to have!

Our experience with Manaslu Guides was nothing short of exceptional. We were travelling as a pair from Australia, exploring Nepal for the first time. Madan and his team made our booking experience smooth and easy to organise, and answered all of our questions promptly. Our itinerary was clear and well-constructed with days for exploring beautiful places and acclimatising safely - we also were offered the flexibility of visiting Pokhara, Kathmandu or spending extra nights on the trek. Serious agency, perfect for Manaslu region
I totally advise this agency for organising treks in the Manaslu region. They perfectly know this area and it helps a lot to adjust schedule regarding highlights to see, weather forecast and speedness that is the best for us. Also, one of their strongness is to perfectly follow the rules of high altitudes, to arrange nice acclimatization and be able to go over that high altitude pass. Particular thank you to our 2 guides Kedar and Tenzing for their kindness and professionnalism. And Madan for the organisation and his welcoming!
